Summer Mission Trip
SIFAT - Lineville, AL | July 15th-20th, 2018
Our summer mission trip this year will be to SIFAT (Servants in Faith and Technology) in Lineville, AL. SIFAT provides an opportunity to gain a holistic view of the developing world. We will head in to a simulated rural Global Village and/or Urban slum to experience the lives of our brothers and sisters living in the two-thirds world. After receiving this global view, we’ll find ways to respond in our local community with action. This trip will be a different experience than other mission trips we’ve been on, but it is a powerful and important experience! For more about SIFAT visit sifat.org/learn-serve
We will leave on Sunday, July 15th and return Friday afternoon/evening July 20th.
The cost of the trip is $250, which includes all of your food for the trip, lodging, and any fun excursions we do. If cost is an issue for you, we still want you to go! We will do some fundraisers that can offset the cost of your trip. There are also scholarships available for the trip, so talk to Nikki or Andrew and we will figure something out. A $50 deposit is due with this form by Sunday, May 20th. A second payment of $100 is due Wednesday, June 20th, and the remaining $100 is due before we leave.

Please note that you must have BOTH a SIFAT medical release form and a notarized Oak Forest Medical Release form on file to go on the trip. You can download these on the “Forms” page. SIFAT would also like you to fill out their simple online registration form (link at the same site)
We will have one or two conversation sessions to prepare for the trip, which we will schedule in the early summer.

Who: Youth who just completed 6th-12th grade

When: Sunday, July 15th through Friday, July 20th
